GARDEN ON THE BALCONY

What can we do?

BUILDING A GARDEN ON THE BALCONY IS NOT HARD!

It's winter ahead, vegetables and fruits are burning in the market. If you have a small balcony, you are not helpless. In winter, it is possible to grow a few greens in pots that can supplement the kitchen, even if it is small.

Plants grown in pots may be slightly more delicate and frail than those grown directly in the soil, due to limited nutrients in the pot, the soil dries out more quickly and they are more affected by the cold. If you make the selection of pots and soil mixtures appropriately and regularly, they will not look for the ones that grow in the soil.

As long as you ask for greens.!

Also possible on the balcony. Here are some greens you can grow in your own little garden;

Lettuce, Red Pepper, Green Pepper, Tomato, Cucumber, Cabbage, Parsley, Eggplant, Onion, Garlic, Carrot, Strawberry even Watermelon!!

PARSLEY; It is an herbaceous plant. In a slightly deep pot, seeds can be directly sown into a mixture with manure, humus and moist soil. It takes 20-25 days to germinate.

LETTUCE; You can grow lettuce, which is rich in vitamins A, A1, B2 and C, and potassium, either as a seedling or as a seed. For the seed; Apply mortar, pressing it flat against the surface of the pot. Sprinkle the seeds intermittently.

So what should we pay attention to when planting and growing these plants in pots?

🔸We should have a pot suitable for the root and stem size of the plants.

🔸 the way of watering is very important! We should not over-water or under-water. Each plant's water intake is different.

🔸We should position the pot according to the sun needs of the plant.
